Unité d'habitation Le Corbusier

The Housing Unit of Firminy is the last of four French units and the largest in size (originally 414 units). It will be up to 2003, fully managed by the Office of Public HLM Firminy.

Its location in the planning of Firminy Verde is a remarkable feature in the landscape. Except for the shopping, there are all the concepts dear to Le Corbusier as the facades free, pilings, orientation according to the curve of the sun, the streets inside the school and the roof terrace.
