Modern deep-water marina accessible 24 hours 24 regardless of the tide and directly without a door or lock, or embouquer estuary, the harbor entrance, facing south-east, is sheltered from prevailing winds. Its width is 80 meters and the channel is dredged to 4.50 m below chart datum. The new port, inaugurated in 1990, and whose development has continued over the years is protected by two major dams in the south and east, and hosts facilities for fishing in its northern part.
