Nestling in a deep cove, the ocher-pink village of Port Cros, a tiny village of 20 permanent inhabitants, dotted with restaurants and a few houses among the palms.

Once past these places inhabited the bush begins with a dense vegetation of myrtle, mastic, strawberry trees, heather and olive trees that compete with pines and oaks.
