The water of Cantache is located between Perugia Montreuil-sous-Champeaux and west of Vitre. It is limited by a bird observatory in the North and the dam of Cantache South. The three dams around of Vitre (Valière, High-Vilaine and Cantache) are flood detention dams. The dams of Valière and High-Vilaine also serve as water supply for drinking water.
