Old Lighthouse is a lighthouse of Finistère (France) from 1882 to 1887 built on the rock of Gorlebella ("the rock farthest" in Breton). It clarifies and secures the passage of strong tidal Sein together with the turret of the Plate (west cardinal). It is located in the Raz de Sein at least one nautical mile west of the Pointe du Raz in the town of Plogoff and belongs to the French state.
The "Hell" of the old is famous for its isolated location in an area at sea rough. In addition, it is noted for its rich history and its past: from feasibility studies and the first ignition, almost ten years were needed for its construction. Penultimate French lighthouse to be automated (in 1995), the guards in place over refused in protest.
