This botanical park adjacent to the shores of Lake du Bois-Fleuri, an artificial body of water dedicated to leisure.
It was built in old quarries and opened in 1995.
It includes playground, hiking trails, restaurant.
The upper part of the park was built in 1998 under the name of the "gardens of Santiago," a tribute to the pilgrims who once roamed the roads in this part of the Saintonge, as evidenced by the many religious institutions still present in Val d 'Arnoult. Designed by the landscape architect Jean-François rochefortais Galinette, it forms a walk through different ecosystems, with rare flowers, exotic plants and local, and an olive grove.
