Established in 1890 under the leadership of local researchers J. Rigaud and Achilles Gaillac. Issues of Collecting, in the township of Lisle-sur-Tarn and the surrounding archaeological collections that come to the museum, covering the period from the Paleolithic to the sixteenth century. In 1892, an artistic section is made. The collection includes works by painters and sculptors of the region such as E. Pech, J. Cambos, G. Toussaint, JP Laurens. The entire collection of designer Lafage is regularly updated.
