Since 1797, the wallpaper is part of the life of Rixheim (Haute-Alsace), it continues today to be printed scenic wallpaper. The Wallpaper Museum made live this tradition with support from the City of Rixheim, opened in 1983, it has a triple mission: to preserve and restore the relics of the past and the present to become the memory of the wallpaper; present to the public documents, particularly in the form of thematic exhibitions regularly updated; develop research around the documents retained.
