Founded in the late nineteenth century by volunteers, the museum is set in 1926 in the House of the Templars, purchased and restored by the Friends of Old Caudebec in 1918 to prevent its sale abroad. Civil building in the late twelfth and early thirteenth century, the house is again restored after the war and collections reconstructed from the rubble of the city. This museum is dedicated to the history and archeology of Caudebec and the valley of the Lower Seine.
