Sculptors of the Baroque: The Brothers Ferrère. (From 1620 to 1795), Jean, his son Mark, John II and his brother Dominique) were a dynasty of sculptors, carpenters. Asté originate in the valley of Campan, they carved altars and tabernacles numerous churches in the Hautes-Pyrenees. Treasures, very well preserved. Twisted columns, cherubs, decorative, carved wood and gilded with gold. No fewer than 59 churches in the Hautes-Pyrenees have been decorated by the local artists. The most famous are those of Aste, Beaudéan, Campan, Pouzac.
