The highlight of Grouin made in 1742, was revised over time until its current configuration in 1860, with its unique access defended by a drawbridge. Very representative of a common type of structure on the coast in the 19th century, it remains the only example of the island that has not been tampered with.
Decommissioned in 1881, it was sold in 50 years to an individual.
