Château de Gien - Château de la Loire

Gien is one of the first castle of the Loire as its date of construction as its location. Built on the site of an appointment for hunting, the castle of Gien is part of the crown in the fourteenth century. Louis XI, to his eldest daughter Anne, decided to erect in place of a medieval fortress of which only a quadrangular tower, a castle in the elegant silhouette.
