Conros stands since the Middle Ages on its rocky outcrop overlooking the beautiful and wild loop of Cere. The imposing medieval tower, flanked by a main building and two round towers, was transformed into a Renaissance stately home. The beauty and purity of its architecture make it a harmonious whole, highlighted by a beautiful romantic park, enhanced by mature trees and fragrant flowers. Conros hosts the exhibition "Ode to Perfume" and the museum "Arts and Traditions."
Robert d'Humières, born in Conros, grandfather of current owners, has translated the works of Rudyard Kipling, including the famous Jungle Book.
