Cathédrale Notre Dame de l'Assomption

The Gothic Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption in Clermont-Ferrand was preceded in the same location, three Christian shrines. Most of its construction dates from the thirteenth century.

It is at the top of the hill which forms the central ancient center of Clermont-Ferrand, on the place of victory, next to the statue of Pope Urban II, who launched the First Crusade in 1095.
