The first contact with the front entrance of the abbey, located at the boundary of the department between Saint-Lô and Bayeux, on the edge of the forest of the same name, does, unfortunately, an impression of austerity, but behind which lies a jewel of Romanesque Norman, already very well received when arriving by road from the forest.
