La Barbotière is an old farm, facing the fields and surrounded by a stream, located on the edge of the village of Chevannes near Auxerre. It is an ideal base to discover the city, the Yonne valley, the basilica of Vézelay and the vineyards of northern Burgundy, notably Chablis. The sites of Puisaye, such as the castle of Guédelon, the castle of Saint-Fargeau or the market of Toucy are also close. For a long time a family home, La Barbotière remains known in the region for having sheltered since the years 90 a famous restaurant, "La Chamaille".
