Cooking lessons Wellness massageLa Petite Niche is nestled in our private woods, on the grounds of our house, on the hillside, overlooking the 13th century bastide town of Villefranche du Périgord. At 500 meters we are close enough to hear the church bells (8am to 9pm), but in summer we can barely see the Bourg Tower through the beautiful foliage of the trees.
Simple, self-catering accommodation for 2 people is available for €70-75 per night, including continental breakfast. There is everything you need for your comfort and the preparation of drinks and snacks. We have ample parking 30 meters from the accommodation and we are available to help you carry your bags if you need it.
We have a very lovely private woodland walk and a number of stunning circular walks from our door, ranging from 3km to 12km+.
In Villefranche du Périgord you will find restaurants, shops, bars and a pharmacy. In July/August, a weekly night market and the town's swimming pool are just a 300 km walk along our route.

"Super Hôtes, cabane très mignonne, tout à dispo"
I highly recommend this little cabin where we were very well received by great hosts :) We stayed there with our little dachshund and everything went really well. Perfect breakfast and a 10-minute walk to a very cute little village where you can walk, eat, and shop. Municipal swimming pool just below the house if it's too hot.

"Séjour et accueil super !"
Weekend rental for the Chestnut Tree Trail. Adorable couple who go out of their way for their guests. Room in a cute little chalet in the shade of oak trees, well-equipped and clean. Breakfast and dinner in a very friendly atmosphere. The nearby municipal swimming pool, open in the summer, is a bonus! Even if Sharon and Martin want to improve their French, a minimum of English practice will help with communication. And they are so friendly!

Un endroit super agréable dans un petit bois, une cabane très bien équipée pour un tarif des plus raisonnable.
Petit déjeuner en terrasse très bien servi, un séjour sympa accueilli par des personnes à l'écoute de nos besoins.

"Un nid douillet"
We spent a week at La Kennel. Sharon and Martin gave us a very warm welcome. They were very attentive to their guests. They were very attentive to their dogs, the heat, and the mosquitoes. Everything was done to ensure we had a pleasant stay.
The niche is beautiful and functional. A small dollhouse ideal for two.
Hearty and delicious breakfasts.
We recommend this guesthouse to anyone who loves peace and quiet, away from the noise.

"Three week stay in October"
I stayed at La Niche for almost three weeks in October, and Sharon and Martin were very welcoming and accommodating. La Niche was a great size and very cozy even on chilly nights - there were several heaters and a thick duvet to keep me warm! The view from the balcony was beautiful, filled with green trees and the tops of the village houses. The village itself was a short 10 minute walk from the house, and there were plenty of walks in the surrounding countryside. The Wi-Fi had good signal, there was a dishwasher to keep things clean, and the bathroom had a great sized shower. Overall I had a lovely experience staying here and would definitely stay again! Thank you :)
