Welcome to Maison Porte del Marty. We are Brian and Cheri Hewitt, originally from New Zealand and invite you to come and stay in our luxurious chambres d'hôtes in the bastide village of Lalinde. Conveniently situated on the main route between Bergerac to Sarlat and also with a train station on the Bordeaux to Sarlat line.

Maison Porte del Marty is a classical Maison de Maître (Manor House) built directly alongside the Dordogne River. Our 4 large bedrooms with private bathrooms all overlook the Dordogne river. The origins of our home date back to Roman times and the Dordogne region is famous for it's beautiful Chateaux, the neolithic heritage of the Vezere Valley, the vineyards of Bergerac and Monbazillac and the pretty and lush countryside.

Our 4 rooms are furnished in a classical style with luxurious Egyption cotton sheets, very comfortable pocket spring mattresses and quality private facilities. Chambre 3 can be split into 2 x single beds. Your delicious continental breakfast will be served at 0900 in the grand dining room or on the balcony overlooking the river.

Whether you are travelling through the Dordogne, or perhaps visiting the area on vacation, business, conference, a birthday, wedding or family celebration, we invite you to stay with us. With WiFi and private spaces to work and rest we can offer you peace and tranquility, but only 2 minutes walk from cafes, restaurants and shops.

Maison Porte del Marty is a non-smoking house, but you are welcome to smoke outside of the house. We have 2 cats who live on site, so our apologies to dog owners, we cannot accommodate your canine friends !

Maison Porte del Marty ha sido un gran acierto para nuestra estancia en Lalinde. Los dueños de la casa, Brian y Cheri han sido encantadores y atentos. Nos aconsejaban que visitar y donde ir a cenar e incluso nos reservaron en un sitio. El desayuno nos dejó sin palabras, una auténtica pasada

La casa tiene un encanto especial. Está limpísima. El desayuno a orillas del rio Dordoña una delicia.
Los anfitriones, Cheri y Brian muy amables y serviciales. Todo facilidades.

I spent a weekend in Lalinde for a wedding in a neighbouring town. My stay at Maison Porte del Marty really made the weekend special. The house itself is beautiful, with fantastic views. My room was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and spacious. The breakfast was generous and served on the terrace right on the riverside. I must also mention the hosts, who were so friendly, helpful and accomodating. Highly recommended!

Fantastische B&B! Mooie kamer in historische setting aan de oever van de Dordogne. Gastvrij onthaal door de eigenaren, servicegericht en iedere ochtend ontbijt op het balkon met uitzicht op de rivier. Romantischer kan het niet.

I recently stayed a couple of nights at Maison Porte del Marty and must say it was one of the highlights of my trip to France. My room was spectacular with a fabulous river outlook and our hosts Brian and Cheri were just delightful and went out of their way to make us welcome. Looking forward to my next visit already. We had a wonderful time here.Brian and Cherie were the best hosts and went out of their way to help us.Brian even drove us to Bergerac when due to the train strikes we couldn't get the train at Lalinde. Our room was fantastic looking out over the river from our
Own balcony and the bed was great! Breakfasts were delicious.
We highly recommend staying here if you are in the Dordogne.
