General Terms and Conditions (GTC) (Only the conditions in French are authentic)
General conditions of sale of the Chez Barrak bed and breakfast.
Article 1: This contract is intended for the exclusive use of the reservation of stays in rooms in the establishment: Bed and Breakfast: Chez Barrak.
The best welcome will be reserved for guests. The owner undertakes to personally welcome them with all the desirable attentions to facilitate their stay and knowledge of the region.
Article 2 - duration of the stay: The customer signing this contract concluded for a fixed period may not under any circumstances claim any right to remain in the premises.
Article 3 - conclusion of the contract: The reservation becomes effective when the customer has sent the owner a deposit of 50% of the total amount of the price of the stay with a minimum of one night per room selected and a copy of the contract signed before the date indicated on the reverse. The second copy of the contract is to be kept by the customer. The prices are inclusive of all charges according to the descriptive sheet, excluding tourist tax.
Article 4 - Absence of withdrawal: For reservations made by mail, telephone or internet, the tenant does not benefit from the withdrawal period, in accordance with Article L121-21-8 of the Consumer Code relating in particular to provision of accommodation services provided on a date or according to a determined periodicity.
Article 5 - cancellation by the customer: Any cancellation must be notified by letter or email addressed to the owner.
a) If the cancellation is made one month before the start of the stay, the cancellation is free of charge and the deposit will be refunded. Any reimbursement costs are the responsibility of the customer.
b) Cancellation before the start of the stay: if the cancellation occurs more than 24 hours before the start of the stay, the deposit remains with the owner.
If the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the start of the stay, the deposit remains with the owner who will also request payment of the balance of the price of the stay.
c) If the client does not appear before 7 p.m. on the day scheduled for the start of the stay, this contract becomes void and the owner may dispose of his guest rooms. The deposit remains with the owner who reserves the right to claim the balance of the price of the stay.
d) In the event of a shortened stay, the price corresponding to the initial stay remains fully acquired by the owner.
Unused additional services will be refunded.
Article 6 - cancellation by the owner: When before the start of the stay, the owner cancels this stay, he must inform the client by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt.
The customer, without prejudging recourse for compensation for any damage suffered, will be immediately reimbursed for the sums paid.
Article 7 - arrival: The customer must present himself on the specified day and at the times mentioned in this contract. In case of late or delayed arrival, the customer must notify the owner.
Article 8 - payment of the balance: The balance is to be paid on arrival at the owner.
Consumption and additional services not mentioned in this contract will be payable at the end of the stay to the owner.
Article 9 - tourist tax: The tourist tax is a local tax that the customer must pay to the owner who then transfers it to the Public Treasury.
Article 10 - use of the premises: The customer must respect the peaceful character of the premises and make use of them in accordance with their destination. He undertakes to return the rooms in good condition.
Article 11 - capacity: This contract is established for a specific number of people. If the number of customers exceeds this number, the owner is able to refuse the additional customers.
This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or breach of the contract at the initiative of the owner, so that in the event of the departure of a number of customers greater than those refused, no refund can be considered.
Article 12 - animals: Pets are not accepted, except in the case of explicit agreements indicated in this contract. In the event of non-compliance with this clause by the client, the owner may refuse the animals.
This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or a breach of the contract at the initiative of the owner, so that in the event of the customer's departure, no refund can be considered.
Article 13 - disputes: Any complaint must be submitted directly to the owner within three days of the date of the start of the stay.
These provisions do not prejudge any legal actions brought by the customer or the owner.
