At the foot of the medieval fortress of Bouzols (11th century), in a preserved natural setting, near the paths of Stevenson, St Régis, GR 3, Régordane, St Jacques de Compostelle, Chantal and Marcel offer you a natural stopover.

In the charm of a village to discover and the calm of a refined residence, you will taste the pleasure of the countryside, in the heart of Velay and its innumerable riches.

The swimming pool, the flowered and raised garden, the orchard will allow you to appreciate the environment and the rural situation.

The guest house

You will appreciate a large house of character where the welcome is combined under the sign of sharing and conviviality: relaxation and idleness around the swimming pool facing south and setting sun; Hearty breakfast, under the gaze of the fortress, by the pool, on the patio, in the open air or in winter by the fireplace.

It is an invitation to discover the charm of the wooded property and the comfort of the tastefully furnished rooms.

Chantal and Marcel will receive you in their friendly home, while preserving your independence and privacy. Passionate about hiking, they will guide you on your choices, discoveries, visits to historical sites during your stay.

The guest house is completed by a large independent living room overlooking the swimming pool with a view of the Château de Bouzols and extended by a covered outdoor terrace; you can relax there. Reception of groups, hikers, bikers, cyclists, mountain bikers, (garage)

The charter of the establishment

For everyone's comfort, the rooms and the house are non-smoking; Outside do not throw cigarette butts
Private parking inside the property (digicode access).

The guest house is open all year round. We welcome you from 5 p.m. Please let us know your arrival time. If you wish, we reserve the inn or the restaurant for you to enhance your end of the day.

Breakfast is served until 9 a.m. If hunger or impatience for a beautiful day drives you out of bed, let us know.
A fridge is at your disposal on the patio near the swimming pool.

In addition, for the sake of hygiene, avoid placing your bags on the bedding. A room on the ground floor is at your disposal for your walking shoes, bicycles and other personal effects. Feel free to ask us.

We will give you the guest card. It offers you many ideas for discoveries, visits, activities,….with many advantages.

If you wish, we will suggest visits and itineraries not to be missed during your discovery tours.

The Bed and Breakfast:

All rooms and suites at La Corcheira enjoy a beautiful view, garden, Loire Valley and castle: Peony, Orchid, Magnolias will make your stay a real moment of relaxation. They will seduce you and your children with their space (30 m², 25 m², 40 m²)
They are spacious, nicely decorated, with very good quality bedding. Each room has its own bathroom and toilet. Extra beds can be added per room on request.

A family suite, upstairs, has two bedrooms and can accommodate up to six people.

La Corcheïra is the starting point for many walks and excursions; Here are some remarkable sites: the castles of Bouzols, Polignac, the historic town of Puy en Velay; the tourist routes of the Loire Sauvage and the castles of Arlempdes and Goudet; the preserved sites of Mézenc, Meygal, sources of the Loire; the many characterful villages (Moudeyres, Bigorre, St Julien Chapteuil, Queyrières, etc.)
The Allier valley and its many sites (Chanteuges, Prades, St Arcons d'Allier, Lavaudieu);

La Chaise Dieu and its abbey, with its world-renowned classical music festival; the multiple hiking trails; historic start of the path to Santiago de Compostela, the Stevenson path, the St Jean François Régis path, the GR 3; the Brass Festival at Monastier sur Gazeille in August; the Country Festival in Craponne sur Arzon in July.
