Nançay, renowned for its Pôle des Etoiles which was for a time the largest radio telescope in the world, its art gallery "Galerie Capazza" located in the outbuildings of the magnificent 15th century castle and of course for its delicious shortbread!
This small village house with typical Solognote red bricks, recently renovated, welcomes you throughout the year as a bed and breakfast. If you wish, you can also book a table d'hôtes. You will then dine with the owners.
Composition of the rooms:
1) The Loft which offers you a master bedroom with a 140 bed and a mezzanine with a 140 bed only for 1 young person up to 16 years old or 2 children from 4 to 14 years old. This formula is a little special: a little "bedroom-gîte" in which you will have a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your own breakfasts. The ingredients will be at your disposal apart from the fresh bread that you will have to get from the bakery 30m away!
• 1 bedroom on the ground floor (Camélia bedroom) opening directly onto a terrace where you can have breakfast in summer. This room has a 1m60 bed, bathroom with bathtub.
• 1 bedroom on the ground floor (Bruyères bedroom) opening directly onto a veranda where you can have breakfast in summer. This room has a 1m40 bed, bathroom with separate bath.
For internet access you will benefit from fiber.
Being in the heart of the village you benefit from the proximity of a few shops, namely bakery, grocery store, butcher, tobacconist, hairdresser.
Furthermore, by crossing the courtyard you arrive at Morgan's which has just opened a very pleasant wellness salon. Do not hesitate to call her to book a massage session, or any other beauty treatment.
Ask us for his phone; these little moments of relaxation will pleasantly enhance your stay.
You will not be surprised (despite the double glazing) to hear the ringing of the bells of the church whose bell tower dominates the house!
In addition, you can occupy your days by organizing visits to surrounding castles located more or less an hour away: Sully-sur-Loire, Gien, La Ferté-Saint-Aubin, the famous Loire castles such as Chambord, Chenonceau, etc. on the Jacques Cœur road: Mennetou-Salon, Yvoy-le-Pré, La Chapelle-d'Angillon, birthplace of Alain Fournier, author of Grand Meaulnes.
You should also take advantage of your visit to visit the town of Bourges (20 km) and its cathedral, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Stroll through the cellars of the vineyards of Quincy, Mennetou, Sancerre.

Je l'occupe personnellement et ne loue qu'en mon absence à des personnes qui en prendront soin. A l'étage une mezzanine permet d'accueillir 1 jeune jusqu'à 14 -16 ans ou 2 enfants de 5 à 12 ans. Pas d'adulte en mezzanine car les toilettes se trouvent dans la chambre parentale. Pour 1 bébé il est possible d'utiliser le salon avec un lit parapluie que vous apporterez. Pour les petits déjeuner ou éventuellement diner vous disposerez de la cuisine super équipée. Une baie vitrée donne directement sur la terrasse et la piscine dont vous aurez tout le loisir de profiter. Cette chambre d'hôtes étant un peu particulière , une conversation téléphonique s'impose au préalable.

"Séjour en Sologne"
Trois jours passés à Nançay. Inès Monot est une hôtesse charmante et pleine de vie qui vous accueille avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de chaleur. Son petit teckel sait également se mettre au diapason ! Une maison fort agréable et bien tenue, avec un joli jardin et une grande facilité pour garer sa voiture à proximité, d'autant que le village est très calme. Un grand merci à Inès pour son accueil.

"Très bon accueil"
La maison est très bien située au centre de Nancay, juste à côté de l'église, et malgré tout il fait très calme. Le lit est très bon, et il ne manque rien dans la chambre. Ines met tout de suite ses hôtes à l'aise. La table d'hôtes est comme on l'aime, une vraie table d'hôtes avec un dîner partagé avec la maîtresse de maison. Etape chaudement recommandée.

Ines, notre hôte nous avait concocté un très bon dîner pour le soir de notre arrivée. Maison très cosy ou nous avons rapidement pris nos marques. Lits très douillets.
Le centre de radio astronomie et la biscuiterie des sablés de Nancay nous ont séduits. La galerie Capazza, un véritable écrin pour de sublimes œuvres d'art.
Je recommande vivement, et encore merci à notre hôte pour sa gentillesse.

"Ideal stay on our way to the south!"
Inès is absolutely a super host; very kind and relaxed. She made absolutely no problem about the fact our compagnion travellers arrived late…she still made us all a lovely table d’hôtes!
The interior of Les petits Médicis is absolutely adorable, cosy, classical and yet contemporary. The beds were fine, we all had our own bathroom; ours was beautifully decorated by a handpainted scene…très jolie! Behind the B&B there is a lovely park, where our boys could play football.
In the morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast, with fresh bread from the local bakery, yoghurt, coffee, tea, chocolate for the kids…just perfect! We would definitely stay at this place again!

Maison typique très agréable dans un charmant petit village avec toutes les premières commodités à pied très bien situé pour de belles visites et balades dans une région à découvrir !
