Wellness massage PlaygroundLes Petits Médicis located in the charming village of Nançay in the heart of Sologne in central France, between the Loire Castles and the first foothills of the Massif Central.
Nançay, renowned for its Pôle des Etoiles, which was for a time the largest radio telescope in the world, its art gallery "Galerie Capazza" installed in the outbuildings of the magnificent 15th century castle and of course for these delicious shortbread cookies!
This small village house with typical Solognot red bricks, recently renovated, welcomes you all year round in bed and breakfast. If you wish you can also book a table d'hôtes. You will then have dinner in the company of the owners.
Composition of the rooms:
1 bedroom on the ground floor opening directly onto a terrace where in summer it is possible to have breakfast. This room has a 1m60 bed, bathroom with bathtub, and equipped with a TV.
1 bedroom on the ground floor opening onto a veranda where it is possible to have breakfast in summer. This room has a 1m40 bed, full bathroom with bathtub and equipped with a TV.
1 upstairs bedroom with a 1.40m bed, 1 upstairs bedroom with twin single beds. Upstairs a single bathroom with tub.
Being in the heart of the village you benefit from the proximity of a few shops, namely bakery, grocery store, butcher, tobacco press, hairdresser.
You will not be surprised (despite the double glazing) to hear the ringing of the church bells whose bell tower dominates the house!
In addition, you can occupy your days by organizing visits to nearby castles located more or less an hour away: Sully sur Loire, Gien, La Ferté Saint Aubin, the famous Loire châteaux such as Chambord, Chenonceaux ... on the Jacques Coeur route: Mennetou-Salon, Yvoy le Pré, La Chapelle d'Angillon, birthplace of 2 Alain Fournier, author of the Grand Meaulnes. You should also take advantage of your visit to visit the city of Bourges (20km) and its cathedral listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through the cellars of the vineyards of Quincy, Mennetou, Sancerre. The attractions of this beautiful Sologne are numerous!

"Séjour en Sologne"
Trois jours passés à Nançay. Inès Monot est une hôtesse charmante et pleine de vie qui vous accueille avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de chaleur. Son petit teckel sait également se mettre au diapason ! Une maison fort agréable et bien tenue, avec un joli jardin et une grande facilité pour garer sa voiture à proximité, d'autant que le village est très calme. Un grand merci à Inès pour son accueil.

"Très bon accueil"
La maison est très bien située au centre de Nancay, juste à côté de l'église, et malgré tout il fait très calme. Le lit est très bon, et il ne manque rien dans la chambre. Ines met tout de suite ses hôtes à l'aise. La table d'hôtes est comme on l'aime, une vraie table d'hôtes avec un dîner partagé avec la maîtresse de maison. Etape chaudement recommandée.

Emplacement idéal pour cette maison.
Ines, notre hôte nous avait concocté un très bon dîner pour le soir de notre arrivée. Maison très cosy ou nous avons rapidement pris nos marques. Lits très douillets.
Le centre de radio astronomie et la biscuiterie des sablés de Nancay nous ont séduits. La galerie Capazza, un véritable écrin pour de sublimes œuvres d'art.
Je recommande vivement, et encore merci à notre hôte pour sa gentillesse.

"Ideal stay on our way to the south!"
Inès is absolutely a super host; very kind and relaxed. She made absolutely no problem about the fact our compagnion travellers arrived late…she still made us all a lovely table d’hôtes!
The interior of Les petits Médicis is absolutely adorable, cosy, classical and yet contemporary. The beds were fine, we all had our own bathroom; ours was beautifully decorated by a handpainted scene…très jolie! Behind the B&B there is a lovely park, where our boys could play football.
In the morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast, with fresh bread from the local bakery, yoghurt, coffee, tea, chocolate for the kids…just perfect! We would definitely stay at this place again!

Maison typique très agréable dans un charmant petit village avec toutes les premières commodités à pied très bien situé pour de belles visites et balades dans une région à découvrir !
