Music room Hiking trailsLa Vallée Verte is located in the south of Haute-Marne, at the crossroads of Champagne, Burgundy and Franche-Comté, in a small peaceful village of 75 inhabitants.
The place is ideally located for a stopover in the middle of a long journey or to spend a few days there and discover the riches of the region.
We have 5 rooms in a stately home dating from 1586.
Each room has all the modern comforts (private bathroom) while retaining the traces of the past, harmoniously highlighted.
The Green Valley was through the centuries the house of the collection of taxes then an important farm.
You will appreciate its Burgundy stones, its wide beams, its fireplaces, its large rooms and a thousand architectural details!
Some features of our rooms:
• 3 are located on the floors of the house
• 2 others have their own entrance
• 1 is on the ground floor (particularly suitable for people with difficulty on the stairs, please let us know if necessary)
• 1 room allows you to come with a small pet
• 1 room with piano: musicians, bring your scores!
You can also take advantage of our table d'hôtes: it will be an opportunity to discover some aspects of our gastronomic heritage.
The garden is designed for enjoyment: meals on the terrace, reading in a deck chair under the weeping willow, game of hide and seek (for young and old), visit to the chickens, pétanque, outdoor gymnastics: you are well at the Green Valley!
The surrounding region is rich in natural, artistic and cultural discoveries.
You will benefit from:
• hiking trails through the countryside and forests (starting from the house or in the National Forest Park, the latest of the national natural parks)
• the ramparts of Langres 30 minutes away (fortified town surrounded by the longest ramparts in France), Diderot and the Encyclopedia, museums
• lovers of history and gastronomy will appreciate the proximity of Besançon (fortress of Vauban), Dijon or even Beaune (Ah! the wines of Burgundy!)
• but also, flea markets, traditional basketry (world capital 20 minutes away), cheeses and washhouses…
