Bed & Breakfast La Calade - Maison Vigneronne

The house is full of character, with its exposed wooden beams and high ceilings. It has been renovated with furniture bought in flea markets (except of course for the beds which are new and top of the range ensuring a good comfortable night's sleep)

La Calade offers 4 large sunny bedrooms, all en-suite with waterfall showers where you will have plenty of space to rest and be quiet.

There is a 'loft' style living room with comfortable sofas and a large dining table. On the same level is a fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook or even just a coffee! In the living room you will find puzzles and board games.

If you want to take advantage of the last rays of sunshine of the day you can head out into the south facing garden and use the barbecue or just relax with a glass of wine!

At the same level as the garden is the garage, where you can quietly lock your bikes or leave your hiking equipment so as not to clutter your rooms. It is also at this level that there are 2 private parking spaces.

Montouliers is a charming little village, ideally located between the mountains and the Mediterranean. It has romantic stone cobbled lanes, known as 'la Calade', which lead to the Chateau and the 12th century church. There is a Roman fountain at the exit of the village and 2 wine estates, where you can do wine tasting or we can organize wine tastings in La Calade.
In the village itself is a small grocery store, restaurant/bar and post office.
There are so many great cycling routes nearby and on foot right on your doorstep.

The village is 5 minutes by car, through a pine forest, from Bize-Minervois, with its restaurants, bars, supermarket and river, perfect for a little swim as during the summer months it is supervised by a master -swimmer.
We are also 5 minutes from the Canal de Midi at La Croisade with its magnificent waterside restaurants.

Narbonne, known for its closed markets, is less than 30 minutes by car as well as the beautiful village of Minerve.
Carcassonne, which is a UNESCO World Heritage city, is less than an hour away by car.
There are many historic sites to visit by bike or car

Several Mediterranean beaches are 40-45 minutes away and the Spanish border is 1h30 away.

At La Calade you can benefit from breakfast included as well as an equipped kitchen to be able to prepare your lunch and evening meals.
You can explore, on foot or by bike, the beautiful countryside of southern France
There is a small local supermarket for your groceries or if you prefer there are wonderful restaurants nearby.
You can visit and enjoy tasting wines from the region in the vineyards near the village.
