Open year round, Bruno and Catherine will welcome you warmly in their guesthouse on their property.

Facing the landscaped park, quiet, spacious, extremely comfortable, with a double bed (160 x 200), of a walk-in shower (140 x 80), you can relax here and enjoy the quiet and maybe taste our gastronomic specialties within our table.

Covid -19

The safety of our guests is particularly important to us. We receive excellent comments from our hosts on the cleanliness of La Belle Etape, but we do more. We will regularly check the official opinions of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the French government concerning the operational safety of our bed and breakfast and we will update these procedures if necessary.
This policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure that we comply with official notices.

Normally, we clean your bathroom, empty your trash cans and make your bed every day. We dust and vacuum the common areas and we wash the floors every two days.

If you are staying with us now, here is what we will do to help protect our guests

Your room will be cleaned, first with soap and water, then all hard surfaces will be wiped with disinfectant (containing bleach). We will wear a mask during cleaning. Hard surfaces will include door handles, window frames and latches, keys, bedside tables, lamps, tables, chairs and floors, as well as bathroom furniture and wc. New cleaning cloths will be used for each room and will be washed at 60 degrees.

All bedding, including mattress protectors and pillows, will be washed at 60 degrees. Your bedding will only be handled by Cathie or Bruno, who will wear a mask and have disinfected their hands with hydroalcoholic gel. The bed will be made just before your arrival to allow ventilation of the bed.

If you stay more than one night, we will repeat the cleaning of hard surfaces every day, unless you prefer that we stay outside your room.

We have removed books and magazines from the room which we cannot easily disinfect. The information folder being protected by plastic, it will be cleaned every day.

A 70% alcohol hand sanitizer will be available in the room and on the table for your breakfast or dinner at the table d'hôtes and we will encourage our guests to use it when they have been outside . Soap is provided in each bathroom.

Breakfast

We will prepare your breakfast by wearing a mask and our hands will have been previously washed with soap and passed with hydroalcoholic gel.

We will prepare your breakfast and serve it either outside (on the pergola weather permitting), or on the veranda (independent and totally secure) or, if you wish, we can bring it to your room. We will just knock on your door at an agreed time and leave it outside.
Breakfast can be served before 10:30 or in our dining room or on the terrace in season ...

You relax on sun beds available and enjoy the peace and tranquility of a village in the Dordogne, while being close to the medieval town of Bergerac with its many shops and entertainment.

Your hosts will guide you in your choice of routes (cultural, sports, ...) and accompany you to tasting (in moderation) from independent growers of their knowledge (Monbazillac, Pécharmant, Saint Emilion, Bergerac, ...) to make you appreciate the "nectar" surrounding vineyards.

Meals themes, gastronomic or simply magnificent barbecues ("pizza" parties, evening "Creole" ...) around the pool can also be arranged during your stay upon reservation. The evening meal can be taken together in our table, as the picnic basket for you to enjoy your holiday without worrying about stewardship. All on reservation.
All meals and picnic will be prepared with the products of our manufacturing (bread, garden vegetables, organic poultry our small family breeding).
Cooking courses can also be arranged on request.

For fishing enthusiasts, Bruno will be happy to assist you and / or guide you on fishing spots on the river which is only 300 meters from the house. A motorized boat you can be rented on request for your fishing.

Petanque is also available in the village 5 minutes by car.

Drive barge, garden tour (Marqueyssac, Terrasson, ...), ... Fishing, Canoeing-Kayaking, swimming in the Dordogne ... Hiking, ATV, karting, bowling, nightclub, ...
