Situated on the square of a charming, small 'bastide' village in the Lot, not far from the Dordogne and Aquitaine, this property will enchant you. The accommodation is in an independant wing of the property and comes with all the services of a bed and breakfast establishment: breakfast, bedlinen, towels and soap are included in our rates. The guest wing is for one, two, three or four people and our rates change according to the number of people. In addition there is an artist's studio available for rent, which is also suitable for those distance working.

The rooms are simple but practical. Everything is on ground floor level.

The terrace, courtyard and the garden are available to our visitors. Dinner on the terrace with its panoramic view is always appreciated.

The guest wing is exclusively for the use of visitors. It has its own entrance and comprises two double-bedded rooms (140 x 190 cms), a sitting room with a small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities, a large fully-equipped bathroom and a separate toilet.

Whether you book one or both rooms you will have the whole guest wing to yourself.

The Wifi signal covers most of the outdoor areas, along with the indoor spaces of course.
Atelier de la Rose provides artist's or writer's retreats, and is a haven for those who enjoy historic sites and hiking. The village of Montcabrier is half-way between Bonaguil Castle and Puy l'Évêque, both of which are 8 kms away. The village is well placed for walks as it is on the GR 652 (a sub-route of the Santiago Trail), it is not far from the GR 36 and it is the starting point of a 12 kms circuit "Entre bastide et vallée de la Thèze". The artist’s studio, next to the guest wing is available for a supplement. Retreats and residencies for artistes and writers have been part of Atelier de la Rose for a good twenty years. The studio can be rented by the day or it can be part of a residency for creative breaks of 6 nights or more on a half-board or full-board basis. Your host lives on site and is always pleased to advise you on retreats, local footpaths and historic sites.

OUR RATES
1) our rates remain the same throughout the year : 55 euros (1 person); 65 euros (a couple in one room); 110 euros for two people in separate rooms; 108 euros (3 people); 117 euros (4 people/2 couples).

2) Reductions from 3 nights and longer.

3) Breakfast is included in our rates.
