"Our stay in the heart of the Bretagne"We stayed at the La Kahana B&B cottage in the Bretagne for three weeks in May and would absolutely recommend to stay there. Tanya was our host and provided us with all the information we needed about the area. She gave us tips on where to go on day trips and took us to the local farmer’s market – any oyster lover will be in heaven!
Tanya is was great host and made sure our few weeks in the heart of Brittany were memorable. The cottage kitchen really contains everything one needs to cook a great meal from the local produce you pick up at the market (be sure not to miss the Breton butter). When you want to relax and have a delicious homegrown vegetarian treat, you can even order breakfast or dinner – on the property there is a large garden complete with vegetable patch, greenhouse, and chickens.
The communication and booking was uncomplicated. The cottage had its own private garden and the living area, bathrooms, and bedrooms are all comfortable and peaceful. The wood and stone give a cosy and authentic country feeling, you really feel at home right away. There is also a fireplace downstairs in the living room where you can enjoy a good book.
Overall the cottage, atmosphere and garden are simply charming and relaxing – we wish we could have stayed longer! Our trip was part holiday, part remote working, so the setup of the cottage and wifi was perfect for us.
The heart of the Bretagne is no word of a lie, we used our car to easily get around and went on weekend and day trips to the northern and western coasts (which are only short car trips away) including visiting the Pink Granite Coast, Monte St. Michel, and the Crozon peninsula.
We cannot recommend this B&B enough and would really like to thank Tanya for such a heartwarming stay and the beautiful time we had.
