On the second floor of the castle there are 2 bedrooms with a twin bed (180 x 200 cm) / 1 bathroom / dressing room / a separate WC / a large living room with a sitting area and a living / dining room / kitchen. In the short term, a second bathroom will be built on this floor.
From the living room and the bedrooms you have a wonderful view of the castle garden opposite, the wooded hills and the babbling brook.
The kitchen has been recently completed and equipped with all modern comforts and conveniences.
Upon request, breakfast can be served at an additional cost.
You will be welcomed with a welcome tray, the bed is made for you and clean towels are provided. If desired, towels are changed daily.
For 5 or 6 people:
The 3rd bedroom with adjoining bathroom and a separate toilet is located on the 1st floor. The floors are connected to each other by a beautiful “lazy” staircase.
For 1 or 2 people:
Upon arrival, you can choose from one of two bedrooms.
Guest access
Parking on the private grounds of the castle.
In addition, you can fish in the castle's private lake, walk around the estate and use the various terraces around the castle.
Other important information
The price does not include breakfast. Upon request, breakfast can be served in the castle's dining room, if available. Price per person / per breakfast Euro 15,-
Description of the neighborhood
The castle and the gîte are located about 2 km from the village of Vallière.
In Vallière there are all the facilities for a basic need: a bakery, a butcher, a small supermarket, a grocery store and a post office. But there is also a general practitioner and a pharmacy located there.
Every Sunday morning there is a market on the church square.
In the town of Aubusson 15 km away, capital of the carpet industry, you will find many large supermarkets, many regional shops and its many restaurants and terraces.
In the area there is space and tranquility, hilly landscapes with many lakes, streams, rivers and the cleanest air in Europe. But the region also has an immense history, picturesque villages with its regional markets. La Creuse was the source of inspiration for the painter Monet.
Towns like Clermond Ferrand, Limoges and Montluçon with great history are around 60 minutes away by car.
Enjoying nature, walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing or a visit to a museum or a city, there is something for everyone.

"Sublime château en creuse"
Luxe calme et volupté c. est dit , ressenti au château , on s. y sent bien grâce à la gentillesse de Hieke propriétaire du lieu. Endroit magnifique entouré d. une nature exceptionnelle. L. appartement est très agréable , spacieux mais le must reste le petit déjeuner = un délice. Un séjour ressourçant quoi de mieux! Chantal et François la rochelle

"Bijzonder"
Een hartelijke ontvangst vormde het goede begin van een paar bijzondere dagen. Een bijzonder fraai en zeer goed uitgeruste gite troffen we aan, met alles erop en eraan. Chateaus doen vermoeden dat het een stijve, formele bedoening zou kunnen zijn. Hier is het tegendeel o, zo waar. Hieke heeft een fijne sfeer gecreerd, met een uitstekend gevoel voor detail. Wij voelden ons geheel onszelf en hebben vol verwondering van deze bijzondere plek kunnen genieten.

"Un joli moment suspendu"
Très bel endroit, où nous avons été accueillis avec beaucoup de spontanéité et de chaleur par Hieke. L'espace, le calme, le confort du lieu, les attentions personnalisés, les échanges vrais, tout cela était parfait.

"Une magnifique pause en Creuse"
Le château de Sourliavoux est un petit coin de paradis ! Le parc est sublime. Nous avons séjourné dans le gîte, magnifiquement aménagé par Hieke ! Elle a su être très disponible pour ses hôtes sans être envahissante, c'est une grande qualité ! Le gîte a tout le confort que l'on peut espérer. Pouvoir faire un bon feu dans le poêle à bois fut magique.
Nous recommandons sans hésiter ce lieu de repos et de grand air pour tous les amoureux du calme et de la nature.

"Un séjour de Découverte réussi et relaxant"
Le château se situe dans un cadre magnifique et calme. Excellent et chaleureux accueil. Avant notre arrivée, le propriétaire nous a communiqué des informations pratiques et indispensables pour un séjour réussi. Très réactif et disponible aux échanges. Des petites délicates intentions qui rendent ce séjour encore plus agréable et mémorable.

"Une extraordinaire vacance a Sourliavoux"
Arrivée a lundi après midi notre hôtesse Hieke de Boer nous a dit bienvenue au chateau. L'entre est formidable et le repas au soir aussi. Situe dans un location magnifique et historique, avec beaucoup des arbres et autre nature, on se sent directement confortable et "a la maison".
Supporte par plusieurs attentions chaque jour par l'hôtesse nous aimerons de retourner la prochaine vacance.
