Dating from the 19th century, you will find this recently renovated château a charming and peaceful location to stay in. Surrounded by a lush parkland and nearby farm and forest, our bed and breakfast offers you a taste of 19th century country living with today’s comfort. We offer five nicely decorated guest rooms with an ensuite bathroom and the possibility to dine with us. On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday you can sign up for an aperitif in the garden or the salon and we offer table d’hôtes with a four-course menu. The other days we offer the option of a ‘plat du jour’. Next to the château is the beautiful Forêt d’Eu. The forest is still a popular hunting ground from September to March. The story goes that during a hunting trip in the 1920s Coco Chanel was a guest at the château with her friend, the Duke of Westminster. In the 1930s, a large conservatory was built at the back of the château with access to the cellars. Grapes were planted and grew from the outside into the conservatory. We are literally still reaping the benefits of that. In the summer breakfast is served under these grape vines.

The château consists of three floors. On the ground floor there is a salon for guests with a beautiful fireplace and piano. It’s the perfect spot to grab a book or have a drink before dinner. Through the double doors you can access the red dining room, which is styled with hunting decor. Through the kitchen you reach the conservatory. Here you’ll find a stand where you can grab throughout the day a cup of coffee and tea or you can take a drink or snack from the fridge and add it to your room name.

On the first and second floor are the guest bedrooms with views over our gardens. Due to their location, the rooms are not easily accessible for people in wheelchairs. In summer it’s wonderful to have a picnic on the lawn, play crocket whilst enjoying a drink or you could choose to wander through the trees at the side of the château. Parking is available next to the château and there is a charging station for electric cars.
Château des Landes is located in Landes-Vieilles-et-Neuves, in the heart of the Pays de Bray, the countryside of Normandy.

Due to our central location you have many opportunities to discover the diversity of Normandy. From the château it’s about a forty five minute drive to the beautiful cities Amiens, Rouen, Le Tréport and Dieppe. Between those last two towns you also find the Côte d’Albâtre, well known for its impressionistic appeal and beach life.

While you’re in staying with us we recommend walking through the forest as well. Next to the château is Le Forêt d’Eu, one of the great forests of Seine-Maritime. With its wide variety of trees and wildlife, it’s a wonderful place to explore. We can provide maps with various walks both in and around the forest.

We love to visit the (brocante) markets in Normandy. Each Saturday there is a wonderful market in coastal town Dieppe, with fresh produce, clothes and all sorts of other knickknacks. It’s a great place to find a nice souvenir and have coffee or lunch at the harbor afterwards.

In summer there are also flea markets on Sundays where the locals sell antiques on the streets of their towns. In Rouen there are antique markets every Friday to Sunday and in Amiens every April and October (La Grande Réderie).
