As soon as you cross the gate, the Château de Camperos, built in the 19th century, in Barsac, in the heart of the Sauternes vineyards, appears to you, majestic, in the middle of a large park adorned with lawns and many hundred-year-old trees: sequoia, lime trees, cedars, oaks ...
After leaving your car in the large shaded car park, you can reach the reception by passing behind the castle. You will see the indoor swimming pool, which also houses a Spa, and adjoins a large area suitable for sunbathing.
Several small shaded paths appear as an invitation to walk.
A sunny and flowery terrace gives you access to the entrance of the castle.
The door opens into a hall with decoration intact from the beginning, witness of Orientalism, a style very popular at the end of the 19th century.
From there you access magnificent rooms with majestic volumes and equally intact decorations reminding you that the 19th century knew how to take back the riches of older eras: neoclassical, neo-renaissance ...: lounges, library-billiard-room , dining room.
On the first and second floor, you will discover the beautiful themed rooms, brought up to date, but having lost nothing of their original soul: the comfort and the neat decorations are there.
In the basement, there is a game room with a ping-pong table, as well as a "well-being" place with sauna and hammam.
It is in this setting, conducive to rest and relaxation, that we can welcome you with warmth and simplicity!
Gift during your stay : Un apéritif de bienvenue (un verre de Sauternes, le vin de la région !)
