Excellent stopping point before or after your hikes in the Pacaya Samiria, Chachapoyas and Kuelap reserve.
Possibility of cruising on the Amazon to Iquitos (the only major city in the world without road access, only river) at very low prices (± €35 per person, duration 3 days).
Nature excursion and meeting with the local population accompanied by a member of our family or friend, by local boat (± €35 per person for 1 day) to Cuipari, Tigre, ... and other indigenous communities. Possibility of all meals on site.
"Fundo Yacuruna" is located in the village of Santo Tomás (120 inhabitants), accessible by the Tarapoto-Yurimaguas road.

Plane from Lima to Tarapoto. From there take a Mototaxi to the station of the cars who run to Yurimaguas. Indicate to driver that your destination is "Fundo Yacuruna", which is in the village of Santo Tomas. The entrance is just in front of the milestone 97. The milestone is on your left hand, the entrance on your right hand. You will see a small black bidge and an indication "Fundo Yacuruna". Also a black iron gate. Call us from the village of Miguel Grau, when crossing the Shanusi river over a metallic orange bridge, just befor your arrival in order to allow us to welcome you at the main entrance and help with luggage.
Othe posibility is to take a taxi from the airport (100 - 150 €), and follow same instructions.

"Le paradis"
Nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable au Fundo Yucuruna. Le gite est très confortable en retrait dans un jardin paysager, face a un très grand étang où il est possible de pêcher et entouré d’une riche faune et flore tropicale amazonienne. Le propriétaire Philippe et ses enfants ont été aux petits soins pour nous. La piscine très grande et très propre offre un moment de détente et de rafraîchissement appréciable dans cette région. Par ailleurs, Philippe a été d’une aide inestimable dans l’organisation d’une virée de 3 jours dans un village indien en pleine jungle amazonienne. En bref un sejour inoubliable au paradis

"Endroit merveilleux en pleine jungle"
Cela fait 2 fois que je viens ici me ressourcer en pleine nature dans la jungle amazonienne.. Cet endroit est juste magnifique. Philippe Irène leurs enfants et petits enfants vous accueillent chaleureusement. Ce site se trouve juste à côté d un village indigène. Les chambres sont vraiment très bien, à l écart au bord de l étang.
Philippe Irène sont à vos petits soins et pourront également vous chercher à l aéroport de Tarapoto.. La faune et la flore est juste impressionnante ici. C'est un véritable havre de paix.
J ai d ailleurs hâte d y retourner.. Philippe, Irene et leur famille sont pour moi des personnes extraordinaires..
