Halfway between Angers and Saumur, on the left bank of the Loire, in the heart of the picturesque village of Saint-Rémy-la-Varenne, "The flying kettle" welcomes you in its only room that can accommodate up to 3 travelers. It is an ensuite room which also includes a cosy relaxation area, where you’ll find books and games, a tiny refrigerator and a tea/coffee set to prepare hot drinks. Breakfast will be served in a charming room downstairs. Or, when the weather is sunny, your breakfast will be served under a pergola, next to the garden. A garden abundantly flowered and designed in contrast to the well-ordered symmetries "à la Française".
The village is crossed by short and long hiking trails (including the GR3) and by "La Loire à vélo"!
Hikers (cyclists or walkers) are naturally welcome. A secured bicycle shed is available on the premises.
In the quiet garden, you will enjoy our flower beds and the birds singing.
Take advantage of your stay to discover the Priory of Saint-Rémy-la-Varenne, an admirable architectural ensemble from the 12th century, considerably embellished during the Renaissance. Shows are scheduled there throughout the year.
The village offers several quality catering options as well as an interesting commercial offering (grocery stores, organic products)
And of course, let your steps guide you to our banks of the Loire! …
