A visit to historic Lincoln could include seeing the Gothic cathedral, 16th-century Guildhall or Lincoln Castle, dating back to 1068. Saxilby is also close to the Nottinghamshire border, with towns including Retford and Newark-on-Trent around 30 minutes away.
